I started by studying maths and physics at a level and did some engineering events with my school (head start engineering). Then I studied it at university and worked during the holidays as a ships engineer from when I was 23 years old. (I’m now 32!)

I did the Engineering Education Scheme at my school while I was doing my A levels aged about 16-17. I studied engineering at university from the ages 18-22 then when I was 22 I got my first engineering job.
