I really enjoyed physics and maths at school. However, I also played in the school orchestra, played for the school rugby team and was a very high ranking RAF cadet. This meant that whilst some of the kids though I was “a nerd” most of them saw me as a whole person and gave me a lot of respect. I worked really hard at school so that I could do whatever I wanted afterwards. This helped me to get great grades so that I could go to whatever University I wanted to study engineering.

Overall I really enjoyed my time at school and in general I was quite good at most things, but not really great at anything. I had lots of options for my A Levels but I choose on the subjects I enjoyed the most and that led me towards engineering and science.
