• Question: Why did you choose to be an engineer?

      Hi, I chose to become an engineer because each day there are new and exciting challenges I have to solves.

      It chose me really! I started doing a degree in physics but wanted to do something more practical and ended up doing engineering. At the same time I was studying marine biology so I ended up in a perfect position to start working at sea as a scientist. Once I was at sea I quickly became attracted to the buzz (noise, smells and machinery) of the engine room and just started helping out…Before long I was offered a job as a ships engineer and everything else just happened from there on!

      Because I wanted to do something practical and try to help people at the same time!
